While golf made it’s reappearance at the Olympic Games last week, the PGA TOUR was business as usual with the John Deere Classic being held at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois. In the final round of the 2016 John Deere Classic, Ryan Moore continued to maintain his lead despite Ben Martin’s efforts to capture his fifth career PGA TOUR title.
“I have to give a shout-out to my club company, PXG, Bob Parsons,” Moore said. “The equipment is great, has been great. I’ve been wanting to win for them. I was the first guy to sign with them, and that’s been huge for me. The equipment has been incredible over the last year and a half for me, and that’s a big part of the win today.”
During the week, Moore ranked first in nearly every statistical category including tee-to-green, sand saves, scrambling and putts (GIR). It was definitely a week where everything came together at the right time – in the video above, watch highlights from the tournament and see the final round 67 that Moore shot to close out the tournament!
