This week, the PGA tour returns to Canada for the 2016 RBC Canadian Open. Last year, Jason Day won this tournament in dramatic fashion and it was a victory that arguably propelled him to a magical 2015 season en route to becoming the number one golfer in the world.
Since becoming the top golfer in the world, Jason’s journey to the top has been much documented. He has the strong support of his caddie and father-figure, Colin Swatton and is very settled in with his family life in Ohio.
As we return to Glen Abbey Golf Club for the RBC Canadian Open, we take this chance to reflect back on Jason Day’s amateur career. In particular, Golfing World brings us some archive footage of Jason at the 2004 Australian Masters, before he turned professional in 2006.
