Golfing World got to walk the course with Lee Westwood ahead of The 145th Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club. It’s a great behind the scenes look at what it’s like to walk the course and be a competitor at The Open Championship.
Westwood provides great insight into his feelings towards The Open and what it will take to be successful this year at Royal Troon and The Open Championship. He gives great commentary on the famous par-3 8th hole, “Postage Stamp,” as well as the 18th hole. Currently, he’s completed his first round and is T56 after shooting an even par round of 71. He trails Phil Mickelson by 8-strokes after he set a course record of 8-under par 63.
