The 2016 Quicken Loans National returns to Congressional Country Club after one year away at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. Defending champion Troy Merritt will defend his title against a field that features 8 of the top 20 from last week’s US Open.
Although Tiger Woods’ annual event will not test the players as much as last week’s Major, Congressional CC is still a tough golf course, especially with its length of 7,500 yards. It has previously hosted multiple US Opens and each year that the course has appeared on the Tour’s schedule, it has consistently ranked in the top 10 in toughest golf courses played that season. In the preview above, we hear from tournament host Tiger Woods, who has won the Quicken Loans National twice, as well as other players, on how to attack the golf course.
