The season’s second Major Championship, the US Open, is underway at Oakmont Country Club! It is one of the most highly-acclaimed golf courses in the country, perhaps even the toughest, so you can be assured that the best players in the world will be challenged to their limits.
This year marks the 116th playing of the US Open and the ninth time that Oakmont Country Club has been the host. Jordan Spieth will look to defend his title this week after failing to do so in April during The Masters. Other players in that “Big 3” are playing some great golf lately as well with Jason Day and Rory McIlroy winning tournaments heading into Oakmont.
