The site of the 2016 US Open, Oakmont Country Club, is located just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, also known as the Steel City. Its reputation as a tough city fits the narrative of the 116th US Open perfectly, with Oakmont being one of the most challenging golf courses in the world.
Previously, Titleist has featured the host cities of Major Championships in their series, WhereAbouts. Last year, we saw Augusta in the series as well as the Pierce County region (Behind the Scenes here), which hosted the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay. We now take a look at the Steel City and meet the people who are proud to call Pittsburgh home.
