After days of weather delays, the 2016 Zurich Classic of New Orleans at TPC Louisiana was reduced to a 54-hole Monday finish. Even after tough conditions throughout the week, Brian Stuard did not make a single bogey and captured his first PGA TOUR victory in a playoff against Jamie Lovemakr and Byeong-Hun An.
Spectacular shot for Stuard. 🎯
Two-footer left for his birdie. #QuickHits https://t.co/4RfrbiCfW2

Stuard was winless in 100 career starts on the Web.com Tour and in 119 attempts on the PGA Tour, but today, he finally broke through in his 120th try in New Orleans. And he did it in dramatic fashion. After a poor drive from the 18th tee during the second playoff hole, Stuard had to lay well back for his third shot on the par 5, but delivered one of the most clutch shots of his life, sticking it just a foot or two from the hole for birdie. With this win, Stuard picks up a spot in next year’s Masters and also some job security for next season.
