The leaderboard was quite packed at the 2016 Valero Texas Open in San Antonio. In the end, it was 39 year old Charley Hoffman who separated himself from the pack, holing his birdie putt on the 72nd hole to win for the fourth time on the PGA Tour.
The birdie putt for Hoffman was huge as his margin of victory was by a mere one stroke. Patrick Reed put forth a valiant effort, shooting a final round 3-under 69 but made too many mistakes to close the tournament out. Next up, players on the PGA Tour will battle it out in New Orleans at the Zurich Classic.
