Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed are two of the rising young stars on the PGA Tour. Over the past few years, we have not only seen Jordan and Patrick compete against each other but they have also been teammates on the past Ryder Cup an Presidents Cup teams.
During the 2014 Ryder Cup at Gleneagles, Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed became the youngest American pairing in the history of the competition. They were very successful together too, defeating Ian Poulter and Stephen Gallacher 5 & 4 in morning fourballs on the first day, then gaining another point for Team USA the following day when they defeated Thomas Bjørn and Martin Kaymer 5 & 3 in another fourballs match. They would also half their foursomes match against Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose.
Individually, Patrick has his work cut out for him to match Jordan’s unbelievable year last season. Jordan is once again off to a great start in 2016 but with the Ryder Cup at the end of the year, the US Team will be looking to the both of them to replicate their strong effort together in an effort to bring back the Ryder Cup.
