Jason Day Wins 2016 AP Invitational

Jason Day’s 2016 season has been off to a slow start but his game is rounding into shape. This week, Jason closed out a dramatic wire-to-wire victory at Bay Hill at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, shooting a final round of 2-under 70 to beat Kevin Chappell by one shot.

Heading to the 17th hole in the final round, Jason was down one to Kevin Chappell. But with a clutch birdie and a unfortunate bogey for Kevin on the 18th, Jason suddenly found himself in the lead heading to the 72nd hole. Although Jason missed the fairway and the green, he managed to make a tough par from the greenside bunker to win the King’s tournament.

This marks Jason Day’s eighth PGA Tour victory and his sixth title in the past year. This certainly bodes well for him heading into the Masters in about two weeks’ time as he tries to win two Major Championships in a row.
