In the last event of the 2016 Florida Swing, the PGA Tour will head to the renowned Bay Hill Club and Lodge where the King, Arnold Palmer, will play host to the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Defending champion Matt Every has won this tournament the past two years and will look to become the second player in history to “3-peat” the event.
More than half of the top 30 in the FedEx Cup standings will be in the field this week so it should make for some great golf. Although Arnie is the host, it was reported earlier that he will play a limited role at Bay Hill. Sadly, it was also announced today that the King will not be hitting a ceremonial first tee shot at this year’s Masters. Despite this news, we are sure Arnie will make an appearance this week and be the most gracious host as usual!
