Why Golf Is Growing in Asia

The importance of the growth of golf in Asia has not been ignored. With events such as the EurAsia Cup, it is apparent that there is starting to be a wealth of talent from the region. In the last part of this month’s CNN Living Golf segment, we take a look at the pioneers of Asian golfers and how a rise of popularity in the sport has helped generate a new wave of talent.

Names such as Hideki Matsuyama, Seung-Yul Noh and Ryo Ishikawa have all made their mark in the sport on a global stage. But we have also seen young phenoms from the Asia region, such as Guan Tian Lang and Lucy Li. With the Rio Olympics this summer, many countries will continue to take interest in the sport and Asian countries, such as China, will be at the forefront of this movement.
