Continuing their feature at the 2016 EurAsia Cup in Malaysia, Shane O’Donoghue and CNN Living Golf took the opportunity to speak with the new CEO of the European Tour, Keith Pelley. The European Tour has faced many challenges in the past few years and Keith Pelley addresses these issues in this interview.
As the CEO, Keith Pelley has very strong views on what his tour needs to do in order to compete in 2016. To achieve his vision of his tour becoming a viable alternative to the PGA Tour in America, there would need to be an increase in prize money as well as tournaments in world class golf courses.
Watch the interview above as Keith Pelley elaborates on his vision. This is not an easy task but European Tour has already taken their first step, announcing their joint partnership with the Asian Tour last year.
