2016 is a big year for golf as it not only marks the return of the sport to the Summer Olympics but also two major events in the EurAsia Cup and the Ryder Cup. After attending the HSBC Golf Business Forum in Shanghai, CNN Living Golf travels to Glenmarie Golf & Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to cover the first of this year’s major events, the EurAsia Cup.
The EurAsia Cup is played in a match-play format, with 12 golfers on each team. There are 24 matches in this event that mirrors the Ryder Cup and the first team to 12.5 points wins. Before the 3 day event got underway, Shane O’Donoghue of CNN Living Golf spoke with the two captains, Darren Clarke of Europe and Jeev Milkha Singh of Asia.
