A star-studded field will be on display in Los Angeles this week for the 2016 Northern Trust Open. World Number 1 Jordan Spieth will be teeing it up as well as World Number 3, Rory McIlroy, who is making his 2016 PGA TOUR and Riviera Country Club debut this week. Other top names that are making their PGA TOUR debut this week include Ernie Els, Charl Schwartzel (who won the Tschwane Open last week) and Sergio Garcia.
There are many players who could take the title this week. Dustin Johnson is in the field again with two runner-up finishes in the past two years. Jimmy Walker is also playing some great golf at the moment and Hideki Matsuyama, coming off a win at the WM Phoenix Open, has the momentum and confidence in his game.
