Ahead of the 2016 Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, some of the biggest names in the field compete in “The Rider Cup,” representing Team Europe and Team USA. Rory McIlroy and Henrik Stenson face off against Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler in a race to finish a golf hole – on golf boards! Is this a preview of the 2016 Ryder Cup at Hazeltine?
It’s going to be one exciting tournament this week in Abu Dhabi as Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler will be paired together during the first two rounds. While Jordan is making his debut in Abu Dhabi, Rory has finished runner-up in four of the past five years. Will either of them contend this week? Or will Martin Kaymer, who has won three times here, but gave up a 10-shot lead on Sunday last year, capture the title again? It’s definitely a great time to be a golf fan!
