The first tournament of 2016 is set to being today on the PGA TOUR, although it’s technically the eighth tournament of the 2015-16 season. The field of 32, many of whom are coming off breaks from several weeks and up to three months, will tee it up in Hawaii at the Plantation Course at Kapalua Resort.
Patrick Reed will look to defend his title, but all eyes will definitely be on Jordan Spieth and Jason Day who had unbelievable years last season. Looking to join those two (three including Rory McIlroy) is Rickie Fowler, who himself had a multiple win season last year. You can’t count out names like Dustin Johnson or Bubba Watson either. It should be a good week of golf – it sure is nice to watch the pros back at it again!
