A couple of months ago, we featured the Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 irons, a set that combined a players compact head shape with the Speed Sole distance technology. For 2016, Wilson Staff introduces the new C200 irons. Wilson Labs, the innovation hub at Wilson Sporting Goods, Co., engineered these irons for the Crossover (C) player whom Wilson Golf defines as a mid to high handicap player seeking distance and accuracy, but in a more playable, midsize offering.
Designed for the Crossover player seeking a midsize head shape and moderate offset, the C200 yields distances not available from traditional irons, while still offering tremendous feel. At the core of its design is the proprietary FLX Face Technology, which minimizes the contact points between the body and the thin face. In fact, 76% of the thin face is actually free from the body of the iron, allowing for maximized face flex upon impact. These minimized contact points – combined with a series of Power Holes around the entire perimeter of the face – maximize face flex upon impact, resulting in increased ball speed and distance.

In addition to the C200 line, Wilson Staff also announces the release of its new Precision Milled Performance (PMP) Wedges and DUO Urethane golf balls. The FG Tour PMP wedge features Precision Milled Performance technology. With milled HM grooves and eleven laser etched Micro Spin lines between each groove, the PMP wedge aims to create maximum spin on full and partial shots.
The new DUO Urethane golf balls are considered by Wilson Staff as the World’s Softest Golf Ball. The low 55 compression results in a softer feel while still providing exceptional distance. With a new multi-layer construction players can also expect an high level of spin, required for the better player.
