In the newest episode of CNN Living Golf, Shane O’Donoghue travels to California as the 2015-16 PGA Tour season gets underway. In part one, Shane crosses the Golden Gate Bridge and heads to Napa for the 2015 Frys.com Open before exploring other parts of the Golden State.
After paying a visit to the first of 47 PGA Tour events this season and speaking to a refocused Rory McIlroy, Shane travels to the Monterey Peninsula. This is where a 17 mile drive boasts some of the finest golf courses in the world, including Pebble Beach, Cypress Point, Spyglass Hill and Poppy Hills.
However, Shane and CNN Living Golf took their clubs to Pacific Groves Golf Links, where the “poor man’s Pebble Beach” offer the same majestic views at one fifth of the price. Have you played any of these courses before? Leave a comment for us and let us know!
