TaylorMade Golf: PSi Iron Build Process

For 2016, TaylorMade Golf announced their M1 collection of metalwoods as well as their PSi irons, which we have included in our 2015 Holiday Gift Guide. Before their release, we had the opportunity to visit the our local TaylorMade Performance Centre in Vancouver at University Golf Club to test the new product and came away extremely impressed. We’ve already seen an in-depth look at the M1 driver and in the video above, we take a look at the build process for a set of PSi irons.

The PSi irons aims to meet the demands of the better player by providing superior feel (Dynamic Feel System) and classic lines for a better player’s shape. A new cut-thru sole slot and thin, sub-2mm face add impressive ball speed to the iron while protecting ball speed on shots struck low on the face. Face Slot Technology is another technology that helps golfers achieve consistent distance and preserve ball speed on heel and toe mis-hits. The new 360° undercut lowers the center of gravity to generate the optimal combination of trajectory and distance desired by better players.

“PSi has everything better players demand from an iron, and so much more. Whether you want superior sound and feel or increased ball speed and distance, you no longer have to compromise.” -TOMO BYSTEDT, DIRECTOR PRODUCT CREATION – IRONS
