Golfers these days are not just athletes, but also brands – therefore, having an international presence is essential. With golf being such a global game, the professionals get to travel the world playing some of the best golf courses while soaking in local culture and building their brands. Ahead of the 2015 WGC-HSBC Champions last week in China, Rickie Fowler spent some time on the streets of Shanghai with two junior golfers to discuss the growth of the game in China as well as his Olympic aspirations.
Fowler has definitely been on top of his game the past two seasons as he’s worked with Butch Harmon. Last year, he finished in the top-5 of all four Major Championships. Although he did not follow that success in the Major Championships this year, he did notch his first career multi-win season by capturing victories at THE PLAYERS Championship, the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open and the Deutsche Bank Championship. Hopefully we’ll get to see Rickie breakthrough for his first Major Championship victory in the 2015-16 season!
