The Black Knight, Mr. Gary Player, has always been an advocate for health and fitness. In the early days of the PGA TOUR, he really led the way for professional golfers to incorporate golf fitness into their routines and get their bodies in the best shape possible to maximize their play. Tiger Woods took that even further and the modern professional now has teams of trainers to help them be as fit as possible.
Being fit will definitely help a golfer prolong their career and play at their highest level for the longest possible amount of time. For Player, fitness is a part of his life – so much so that he even posed for ESPN’s Body Issue a few years back. We’ve seen a part of his work out routine before and even heard from him speak about health and fitness – in the video above, watch as Mr. Player joins Golf Digest to chat about golf fitness and more.
