The first tournament of the 2015-16 season on the PGA Tour is in the books after a thrilling finish in a two-hole playoff at the Frys.com Open. Although Brendan Steele was hoping to win the tournament leading wire to wire, it was PGA Tour rookie Emiliano Grillo who emerged victorious in a playoff against Kevin Na.
This is the first victory on the PGA Tour for the 23-year-old Argentine however, it is also his second victory in three weeks as he won the Web.com Tour Championship at TPC Sawgrass in early October. Emiliano’s game is certainly in good form and it has earned him a PGA Tour membership through the 2017-18 season and an invite to next year’s Masters and PGA.
