After shooting 61 and 63 in the first two rounds of the 2015 BMW Championship, there was simply no catching Jason Day this week in the third leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs. With a six shot lead going into the final round, Jason played smart and conservative as he racked up his fourth victory in his last six starts.
With this impressive wire-to-wire victory, Jason Day also achieves his lifelong dream of becoming the number one ranked golfer in the world. Jason will also be ranked number one in the FedEx Cup playoffs heading into the TOUR Championship at East Lake GC in Atlanta, Georgia.
This has been an unbelievable stretch of golf for Jason, hitting it long and draining putts from everywhere. Although Jordan Spieth had quite the year himself, winning the Masters as well as the US Open, Jason has certainly made a strong case for himself as a Player of the Year candidate. What are your thoughts?
