Michael Jordan may be the greatest basketball player of all time and along with Nike, they have revolutionized the culture of sneakers with Air Jordans. With Jordan being a golf addict, it was only a matter of time before his line of sneakers made its way on the golf course.
We have seen Keegan Bradley numerous pairs of Air Jordan golf shoes however, only the Jordan Flight Runner Golf Shoe has been made available to date. That is until today, when Nike announced the release of the Air Jordan VI Retro Golf Shoes in two colourways.
The Air Jordan VIs made its debut at the 1991 NBA All-Star game and Michael wore them the rest of the 1990-91 season, all the way to his first NBA Championship. Although the Air Jordan VI Retro Golf Shoes are directly inspired by the original basketball sneakers, there are obviously some differences and upgrades.
Using the Nike Free technology and a phylon midsole, the Air Jordan VI golf shoes provides lightweight cushioning and a natural ride while a moderator plate in the forefoot provides stability and balance during swings. Traction of the golf shoes come from the combination of Tri-LOK spikes and rubber and injected TPU pods. The Air Jordan VI Retro Golf Shoes will available for $225 USD.
