Adam Scott, 35, is arguably in the prime of his career. Two years ago, he made history by becoming the first Australian to win The Masters and followed that win with a spectacular 2013 season and nearly completing the “Aussie Triple Crown.” And on the bag for all that success was one of the best caddies in the sport of golf, Steve Williams. Since that magical year though, Scott has gone from being the World Number 1 to Number 13, he will miss the rest of the 2015 FedEx Cup Playoffs and he’ll have to change his anchored putter for next season.
Most likely, he’ll have to search for a more committed, full-time caddie as well, with Steve Williams in “semi-retirement.” But perhaps, we’ll see Williams back with Scott in a similar schedule as 2015 – on the bag for the Major Championships and WGC events. In the video above, hear from Adam Scott as he talks about player/caddie relationships, including his own with caddie Steve Williams.
