Australian Jason Day is on an absolute tear right now as he won The Barclays after shooting an 8-under 62 in his final round. With this victory and winning the 2015 RBC Canadian Open and the 2015 PGA Championship in previous weeks, Jason has now earned his third win in his last four starts. Jason also joins Jordan Spieth as the only players to win four times this season.
Although former FedEx Cup Champion Henrik Stenson applied the pressure and came within two shots of the lead, Jason just played too well and ended up winning the tournament by six strokes. Currently, Jason sits atop of the FedEx Cup playoff standings and will be among the top five who will have a clear shot at the $10 million prize going into the Tour Championship.
With the 2015 Deutsche Bank Championship at TPC Boston next week, Jason Day as well as world number one and two, Rory McIlroy and Jordan Spieth, all have a mathematically chance to be in the number one spot after all is said and done. This is certainly drama-filled golf and these final few weeks of the PGA Tour season will be a joy to watch for golf fans everywhere!
