Louis Oosthuizen On The Old Course

Louie Oosthuizen’s game has been on a tear lately. Unfortunately for him, his game fell just short in the past two Major Championships as he finished T2 in both the US Open at Chambers Bay and the Open Championship at St Andrews. Louie won his first and only Major title in 2010 at the Old Course in St Andrews and has very fond memories at the Home of Golf. Ahead of the 144th Open Championship, Golfing World caught up with Louie for a short walk on this historical golf course.

When Louie won the Open in 2010, he demolished the field, finishing at 16-under par and winning by 7 strokes. A victory of this margin shows Louie knew how to get around the Old Course and in this short video, we hear from Louie on how he strategizes and plays the 1st hole as well as the famous 17th Road Hole. Louie also shares his insight on how to deal with the ever changing conditions that’s synonymous with links golf and definitely at St Andrews.
