With the 2015 RBC Canadian Open taking place this week at Glen Abby Golf Club in Oakville, Ontario, the PGA Tour takes this opportunity to reflect back on the same tournament four years ago, when Canadian Adam Hadwin burst onto the scene. Adam is currently in his rookie season on the PGA Tour and we look back at his journey to the big leagues as he attempts to break the 61 year winless drought for a Canadian this week at the 2015 RBC Canadian Open.
In 2011, Adam Hadwin played in the RBC Canadian Open on a sponsor’s exemption after his second win on the Canadian Tour. Adam would play his way into the final group and although he ultimately fell short of winning the tournament, Adam would finished T4 and the low Canadian for the second straight year. For the next three years, Adam would hone his craft on the Web.com Tour. With the unwavering support of his family, Adam broke through for two victories last season, finally paving his way onto the PGA Tour. He joins fellow Canadians such as Nick Taylor and Graham Delaet this week at Glen Abbey.
