Tom Watson finished the final round of his Open Championship career today at The Home of Golf in St. Andrews. Over his 40 years of playing in Open Championships, Watson has won the Claret Jug on five occasions on five different golf courses. In total, he made 38 starts with ten Top-10’s and five victories. He even won his first Open Championship in his first ever start at The Open in 1975 and is considered one of the greatest links players in history.
He has definitely inspired a generation of golfers after him, including fellow Ralph Lauren brand ambassador, Billy Horschel. In the video above, we take a look back at the career of Tom Watson and how special it is to play his final Championship at The Home of Golf.
