Player Profile: Charl Schwartzel

The Open Championship returns to The Home of Golf this year – St. Andrews. The last time it was played at St. Andrews was in 2010 when South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen won the tournament with a score of 16-under par, seven strokes clear of runner-up Lee Westwood. Oosthuizen played remarkably during the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay, also a links style golf course, going 77-66-66-67, including a back-nine 29 on Sunday to challenge for the championship. This fine play leading into a venue where he’s won before is certainly positive.

In this latest episode of Player Profile though, Golfing World sits down with another South African, Masters Champion Charl Schwartzel, who looks back at the last time The Open was played at St. Andrews and ahead to the return to The Home of Golf.
