The Making Of The Presidents Cup

This year, the 11th Presidents Cup will be held at Jack Nicklaus Golf Club Korea, in Incheon City, South Korea. The event is a week long event, with 226 countries and 1 billion potential households receiving the broadcast. Since year 2000, NBC Sports Group has broadcast this event and this year, they will partner up with SBS (Seoul Broadcasting System) to provide nearly 30 hours of coverage.

Although NBC Sports Group lost its broadcasting rights to the US Open to FOX Sports, we will hear the familiar voice of Dan Hicks and Johnny Miller for the President’s Cup. Roger Maltbie will also provide us with the on-course commentary. In this feature from the PGA Tour, we take a look at what it takes to broadcast an event of this magnitude and the extent of the event’s international exposure.
