Taylormade Golf has made some great products over the past couple of years, but the timing of their releases was questionable. New product from the company seemed to flood the market every six to eight months, with golfers seeing deep discounts on the less than a year old equipment. Each new product release seemed to focus on the idea of hitting it longer and straighter.
On the surface, it seems that these distance increases were gained by “loft jacking.” Where a traditional 7-iron would have around 36-degrees of loft, modern lofts have increased to about 34-degrees.
