After the 2015 US Open, the excitement and drama continued on the PGA Tour this week at TPC River Highlands. In a tournament where Bubba Watson claimed his first PGA Tour victory, it took Bubba two extra playoff holes at the 2015 Travelers Championship clinch his eighth PGA Tour victory over Englishman Paul Casey.
At the start of the day, Bubba Watson was one shot back of the lead. With soggy conditions, the course was set up for prime scoring conditions and many players took advantage. However, the last two standing were Bubba, who shot a 3-under 67 and Paul Casey, shooting a final round of 5-under 65 to meet in a playoff. With the Open Championship at St. Andrews coming up, Bubba is playing well at a right time and has surely added his name to one of the contenders!
