Tom Watson is considered one of the greatest links players of all time, backed by his five Open Championships, a second place finish at the 2009 Open Championship and three Senior Open Championship titles. This year, The Open Championship heads back to The Home of Golf at St. Andrews for the 144th edition of the tournament where Rory McIlroy hopes to defend his title. Tom Watson will also be making his final Open Championship appearance in 2015 and what a place to finish his competitive career at the Championship than at the Home of Golf.
Ahead of the Championship though, Tom Watson brought his five Claret Jugs and winner’s gold medals to St. Andrews to form the centrepiece of a special exhibition mounted in his honour at the expanded British Golf Museum in St Andrews. Take a look at the ceremony and hear from Watson himself as he tells stories from his favourite Open Championship victory.
