Last week, the 2015 Irish Open was held at the famous Royal County Down Golf Club in Newcastle, Northern Ireland. Leading up to the tournament, Shane O’Donoghue and CNN Living Golf explored the rise of Irish golf, starting with an interview with 3-time Major Champion, Padraig Harrington.
For the interview, Shane visits Padraig Harrington at his home away from home, Stackstown Golf Club in Dublin, Ireland. This was where Padraig learned the game of golf and not only does Padraig reflect back to his young days when he first fell in love with the game but we also looked back at his career that includes three Major Championships, including back to back Open Championships in 2007 and 2008. After a few years of struggle, Padraig seems to be back on track, proven with a victory at this year’s Honda Classic.
