We’re less than two weeks away from the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay, the first US Open to be held in the Pacific Northwest. It will be a tournament full of firsts as you’ll see golf holes alternating par throughout the week, possibly uneven lies on tee boxes and more.
The course opened in 2007 and was quickly awarded the 2010 US Amateur Championship and 2015 US Open Championship. Because it’s so new, the course is still very unknown to many of the pros and even the public – make sure to take a look at our hole-by-hole feature of the course to see what the pros will face.
We’ve heard from course architect Robert Trent Jones Jr. before through an interview on the Golf Channel as he talked about the course. In the video above, watch as he shares more insight into what you need to know about Chambers Bay and the upcoming US Open.
