The PGA TOUR head’s over to Jack’s place this week for The Memorial Tournament at Muirfield Village Golf Club, where Hideki Matsuyama looks to defend his title. This was Matsuyama’s first PGA TOUR victory last year, as he won in a playoff against Kevin Na. Matsuyama is one of the many young, rising stars in the sport of golf.
But there will be many former champions in the field this week as well including five-time Memorial Champion Tiger Woods. This will be Tiger’s last start before the 2015 US Open at Chambers Bay. He had spent two days early in the week at Chambers Bay, scouting the course and playing practice rounds before arriving for in Dublin, Ohio on Tuesday night. Jason Day, who is a member at Muirfield Village Golf Club, will also be in the field as well as 2015 PLAYERS Champion, Rickie Fowler, who makes his first PGA TOUR start since winning at TPC Sawgrass.
