The 2015 Players Championship is upon us and as always, it features one of the strongest field in professional golf. Some have made a case that the Players should be golf’s fifth Major Championship and they may have a point as this year, it features 144 players who combine 524 victories, including 27 Major Winners.
Last year, Martin Kaymer’s victory at the Players jump started his season and propelled him to a victory at the US Open at Pinehurst. There are a few players coming into this tournament who are already on a hot streak, such as Jordan Spieth who won his first Major at Augusta a month ago and Rory McIlroy, who blew away the field last week at the WGC-Cadillac Matchplay.
Tiger Woods will also make his first start on the PGA Tour since the Masters at Augusta. With such an elite field this week, it will certainly be another exciting Players Championship at TPC Sawgrass!
