Jim Furyk has gone 100 starts without a win on the PGA TOUR, but ended his nearly five-year winless drought today at Harbour Town Golf Links on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina for the 2015 RBC Heritage. It went down to a playoff between Furyk and Kevin Kisner after a final round of 8-under 63 and 7-under 64 from both players, respectively.
Furyk and Kisner were tied at 18-under par. But with a 12-foot birdie putt on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff, it would be Furyk who would prevail. He made 11 birdies in 20 holes played on Sunday for his first victory since the 2010 Tour Championship.
2015 Masters Champion, Jordan Spieth, was also in the field today. After spending a couple days doing the Masters media tour in New York City, he fulfilled his commitment to the RBC Heritage, finishing at 10-under par after rounds of 74-62-68-70. This closes out a five tournament stretch for Spieth with a 1st, 2nd, 2nd, 1st and 10th place finish (wins at the Valspar Championship and The Masters).
