In the series premier of “Why Golf” by Golf Digest, Skateboarding champion Ryan Sheckler, King of Supercross Jeremy McGrath and pro surfer Evan Geiselman joins PGA Tour star Rickie Fowler at TPC Scottsdale the day before the 2015 Waste Management Phoenix Open begins. Musician Kelley James was also on hand as he played host to this talent-filled foursome.
There are many initiatives to grow the game of golf these days as many believe its popularity is starting to wane. Throughout the round at TPC Scottsdale, we learn from Ryan, Jeremy and Evan why they play golf and what keeps drawing them back to the game. Judging from their handicaps, they’re all pretty good players and a good time was had by all. With top athletes from other sports playing golf, “Why Golf” hopes to generate interest and encourage more athletes to get into the game!
