The PGA TOUR makes it’s second stop in Texas this week at the Golf Club of Houston the Shell Houston Open. It is the last tournament where players can qualify for the season’s first Major Championship, The Masters at Augusta National, which starts next week.
The field at the Shell Houston Open includes defending champion Matt Jones, long bomber Jason Kokrak, and red hot Jordan Spieth. Spieth is coming off a win at the Valspar Championship as well as a runner-up finish last week at the Valero Texas Open. You can bet he’s getting pumped up for Augusta, where he was in the final group last year with eventual winner, Bubba Watson.
