Lydia Ko is just 17-years-old, but she has already had an amazing career on the LPGA Tour. She exploded onto the LPGA Tour at 15 years old, winning the 2012 CN Canadian Women’s Open at Vancouver Golf Club as an amateur. In total, she won three tournaments as an amateur and a total of five tournaments after turning professional. In her rookie season, she had three wins, 15 top-10’s and no missed cuts. Building on that success, Lydia has also become the World Number 1 player!
Her recent wins include back-to-back victories at Women’s Australian Open and the ISPS Handa New Zealand Open. She nearly made it three wins in three weeks at the HSBC Women’s Champions last week in Singapore, but would finish runner-up to Inbee Park. She is definitely proving that she belongs on top of golfing world – in the video above, hear from Lydia herself as she talks about her ranking, life outside of golf and more.
