Rory McIlroy Makes 2014-15 PGA TOUR Debut

Rory McIlroy’s 2015 year began on the European Tour during the Desert Swing. He teed it up at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, finishing second and also at the Omega Dubai Desert Classic, where he won. He has definitely continued his strong play since the summer of 2014 that saw him win The Open Championship, the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational, the PGA Championship and a Ryder Cup with Team Europe. Towards the end of 2014, he also finished runner-up at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and DP World Tour Championship.

It seems that every time Rory tees it up, he is in contention and ready to win. The reigning World Number 1, PGA TOUR Player of the Year and European Tour Golfer of the Year will make his PGA TOUR debut this week at the Honda Classic, a tournament he won in 2012 and lost in a playoff last year in 2014. You can believe that he’ll be the favourite this week though and that he already has his mind on Augusta and The Masters.

In the video above, watch as the PGA TOUR speak to Rory and his peers including Rickie Fowler, Matt Kuchar, Hunter Mahan, Martin Kaymer, Zach Johnson, Freddie Jacobson and even The Golden Bear, Jack Nicklaus!
