James Hahn may be best remembered for his Gangnam Style dance but that may change after today as he won the Northern Trust Open at Riviera Country Club. This was Hahn’s first PGA Tour victory and it earned him a trip to the WGC-Cadillac Championship at Doral and the Masters this season. The victory did not come easy though but it was truly a story fit for a Hollywood ending.
Down the stretch of the final round, world class players and household names such as Dustin Johnson, Sergio Garcia, Jordan Spieth and Paul Casey were all in the running for the Northern Trust Open title. In the end, it was a three-man playoff between Dustin Johnson, Paul Casey and James Hahn, with the latter pulling off the victory on the third playoff hole at the par-3 14th. The drama and suspense was fitting for Hogan’s Alley and perhaps after this victory, James Hahn will be known for more than just his dance moves!
