Sergio Garcia makes his debut in the USA this week for the Northern Trust Open at Riviera Golf and Country Club. Sergio has been playing some superb golf the past year or two, winning the Thailand Golf Championship in December 2013, the Qatar Masters in January 2014 and the 2014 Ryder Cup with Team Europe. He also finished T2 with Rickie Fowler, two strokes behind the winning score, at The Open Championship after starting the day seven strokes behind Rory McIlroy.
He’s definitely playing some fine golf these days and is looking to continue his strong play into 2015. In the video above, watch Golfing World walk the course with Sergio at the 2015 Qatar Masters where he hoped to defend his title. Garcia talks about his 2014 season on and off the course and more. At the Qatar Masters, he would end up finishing the tournament in 46th place at 4-under par, while Branden Grace of South Africa took home the trophy with a winning score of 19-under par.
