GAME GOLF Debuts On Ladies European Tour

Game Golf

GAME GOLF was one of the most innovative products from last year’s PGA Merchandise Show. Wearable technology in sports is everywhere these days and it was only a matter of time before it made it’s way into golf. We had the opportunity to use and review the GAME GOLF device this past golf season and found it extremely helpful in monitoring our golf games to see what we needed to improve on. The software platform tracks and captures real performance data and displays rounds of golf in a dynamic and socially driven interface.

GAME GOLF is not only for amateurs though – many professionals have been involved and have also used GAME GOLF including Graeme McDowell, Lee Westwood and Jim Furyk. It is approved for use in competition by the R&A and USGA and the first professional to put the device in play on the Ladies European Tour is Sophie Walker! She will put GAME GOLF in play for the month of February during the Australian Masters, Australian Open and New Zealand Open.

“GAME GOLF has already revolutionized the way I structure and analyse my practice so I can’t wait to get it out on the course to see how it helps in a competitive scenario. I’m a big believer in the potential of technology to change how golfers approach the game and in a sport of fine margins, the odd shot here or there could be the difference between success and failure.”

Sophie Walker GAME GOLF

Walker has already used GAME GOLF with positive effect during several practice rounds. Her first five rounds produced a GIR of 65% and a scoring average of two over par whilst her most recent five rounds saw her GIR improve to 74% and her scoring average drop to four under par. You can follow and track Sophie’s rounds on her GAME GOLF page and be sure to follow us on GAME GOLF as well.
