The TaylorMade Golf Supreme Hybrid on Tour at the Waste Management Phoenix Open
We featured the 2015 TaylorMade Golf Bag collection a few months ago, which included several stand bag and cart bag offerings. The one we were most excited about was the Supreme Hybrid (MSRP $219.99). To us, this is the perfect golf bag and one of the best, if not the best, we’ve used in terms of functionality and style. The bag is designed for a golfer who enjoys walking the course while carrying the bag or using a push cart, but also enjoys cart riding once in a while. It has the look, size and storage space of a cart bag with the mobility of a lightweight stand bag.
The Supreme Hybrid features a 14-way top (10″x8.5″) with top handle and 4 full-length dividers – it is also complete with two slots to accommodate oversized putter grips. The top handle is a design aspect that we love. It really helps with moving the bag around on the golf course and even loading and unloading the bag from your vehicle. Storage is plentiful (10 pockets) to hold all of your golf accessories and a velour-lined protective pocket is also available to hold your personal items such as cell phones and wallets. A glove tab is also available one of the handles for easy glove access. The construction of the entire bag is very sturdy as well. This is something you can feel immediately upon picking up or using the bag, especially with it’s crush-resistant construction to protect your golf clubs.
For the golfers who like to carry once in a while, a four-point adjustable shoulder strap with air mesh for ventilation makes the Supreme Hybrid a pleasure to carry. It is comfortable and didn’t seem to put much strain on our shoulders or back. The fact that the Supreme Hybrid is only 5.3 pounds also helps – amazingly lightweight given the size and space that is provided! If you want to walk a golf course, but not carry, the base of the Supreme Hybrid is cart compatible, so it will fit perfectly without sliding off of push carts. The bag was even put into use at the Waste Management Phoenix Open by TaylorMade staff player caddies!
We’ve taken the Supreme Hybrid out on the course the past couple of months in dry and wet conditions and it has performed outstandingly. In the rain, an umbrella sleeve is available and the rain cover is easy to put to keep your clubs dry. Overall, the versatility of the Supreme Hybrid is what makes it stand out – golfers are able to carry, push or ride with this golf bag with ease. The TaylorMade Golf Supreme Hybrid should definitely be a golf bag you consider for 2015!
