Tiger Woods tees it up again this week for the Farmers Insurance Open after one of his worse displays as a professional last week at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. He returns to Torrey Pines, a golf course where he has won a record eight times, including his last Major championship (2008 US Open). Although he is finally healthy, it’s his overall game that has the golfing world concerned.
Tiger displayed his “new, but old” golf swing during his Hero World Challenge and showed signs of obvious rust. The poor play continued into last week’s Waste Management Phoenix Open, particularly with his short game. Many are saying he has the chipping yips, but Tiger says it’s due to the transition from his swing under Sean Foley to his new swing patterns now. It may take a while before he returns to the form that brought him to World Number 1, but he’s definitely trying. In the video above, watch as Tiger plays in the pro-am on the North Course at Torrey Pines prior to the 2015 Farmers Insurance Open.
