Michelle Wie is one of the most recognizable names and rising stars in the sport of golf. Last year, with her maiden Major Championship victory at the US Women’s Open, she finally seemed to be meeting the potential that was expected of her at a very early age.
Off the golf course, Wie has one of the most unique styles that really shows off her personality and helps her stand out from the crowd. She is a big fan of the NIKEiD program that further captures her individuality. This often translates onto the golf course as well, particularly for this week’s Coates Golf Championship Presented by R+L Carriers.
Not only will Wie debut Nike Golf’s first ever Women’s Lunar Control golf shoe, she will debut one that she designed through NIKEiD. Furthermore, she will be the first Nike Golf athlete to put the Nike RZN Black Volt golf ball in play during competition as well as a one-off Volt crowned Vapor Speed driver. Aside from the custom Volt paint scheme on the crown, Wie’s driver has the same specifications as those that can found at retail. She will also be wearing other Volt inspired items, the theme colour of Nike Golf for 2015.
